You can obtain an API key in one of two ways:

1) Via the Dashboard: when you login to the Dashboard, you can see your API key on the account page.

2) Via a /request_token call.

Credit Card transactions can be processed instantly in the Pre-Live environment, using test card data available here.

Direct Debit/ACH transactions are automatically processed every three minutes.

Alternatively if you would like to process the direct debit transaction immediately, you can do so via the /item/:id/process_direct_debit call.

By default, emails are filtered out in the Pre-Live environment.

Fees need to be created before you create an item. Creating a fee results in a fee_id. When you create an item, or when you use the request_session_token call, you must pass all relevant fee_ids (buyer, seller, int_wire, cc, paypal, direct_debit) as a part of the call.

The timing of the disbursal of fees to a nominated account are configurable via the Assembly API or Dashboard and can take place on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule.

Where applicable, Assembly applies Fraud and Support fees within the Pre-Live environment.

Your marketplace report is scheduled for monthly distribution. You may however use our API for realtime monitoring of both your Assembly income account and those of your users. You may also see details of these fees in the Dashboard.

No; items don’t expire even if they remain unpaid.

Items retain a pending state indefinitely, unless you do an item action on them.
