For an added layer of security, turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Zai dashboard account. If your password is compromised or stolen, you'll have peace of mind knowing that only you can sign in.
How MFA works:
All dashboard users within your business will have MFA enabled to secure their accounts
You’ll need access to your mobile phone when you sign in to Zai
Once enabled you may be prompted for a verification code and your password each time you sign in
You can send your verification code from an authentication app
Turn on MFA
Step 1: Download and install an authentication app
Before you can set up MFA on your account, you’ll need to download and install an authentication app on your device, if you don’t have one already. Zai dashboard MFA can be used with most Time-Based, One-Time Password (TOTP) applications.
Here are a few options to get you started:
Windows Phone: Duo Mobile
Step 2: Turn on MFA in Zai
Sign in to Dashboard - Zai with your login credentials.
Once logged in, you will be presented with an option to Enable multi-factor authentication or Remind me later. Select Enable multi-factor authentication:
On your mobile device, you will need to add a new account to your chosen authenticator app. In most apps, you can do this by tapping the + icon.
Scan the QR code presented on the Zai screen by using your device's camera. If you prefer, you can choose to enter the code by hand.
Once scanned, you will be presented with a six-digit code in your authenticator app.
Enter the six-digit verification code that your authenticator app generates in the field on the Zai screen.
To finish, press Confirm.
When you sign in to Zai, just open your authenticator app and enter the code presented along with your password.
Invalid or expired authentication code
If you input your code and an error appears with an invalid or expired code you may be using an old code from your authenticator. Please wait until a new code refreshes on your authenticator to add it to the Zai code field:
If your session has timed out you will have to return to the registration page and resume your login process.
If you’ve got a new phone or don't have access to your backup codes, you can ask a workspace owner or admin to manually disable MFA for your account.
If you are having trouble authenticating with MFA please check that your phone timezone are set correctly on your phone. MFA code won't work if there are invalid timezones.
